Custom painted performance brake caliper at IW Motorsports

Caliper Painting · Custom Finishing

SMALL DETAIL.
BIG IMPACT.

Your wheels frame the brakes, so unfinished or faded calipers can hold back the entire side profile. We refinish all four calipers with careful preparation, precise masking and a high-temperature finishing system— then tailor the color, sheen and optional lettering to the vehicle.

The Detail That Finishes The Wheel

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN
STOCK AND FINISHED.

Calipers are one of the few mechanical components that stay fully visible through the wheel. A clean, intentional finish can make the entire wheel package feel more complete—whether you want an OEM-performance look, a subtle luxury accent or a bold contrast color.

The visual upgrade is simple; the quality of the result is not. A professional finish starts with cleaning, surface preparation, precision masking and controlled application—not simply spraying color over a contaminated brake component.

Starting pricing assumes a standard four-caliper cosmetic refinishing service. Oversized multi-piece calipers, heavily oxidized components, specialty colors or more complex masking/design work can require additional labor.

Preparation Is Everything

THE FINISH STARTS
BEFORE THE COLOR DOES.

A quality caliper finish starts long before the first coat of color. Cleaning, preparation, masking, application and proper curing are what separate a professional refinishing service from a quick cosmetic spray job.

01

Wheel Removal & Inspection

Wheels are removed and the braking area is inspected before preparation begins.

02

Surface Preparation

Calipers are cleaned and prepared to remove contamination, oxidation and loose material.

03

Precision Masking

Rotors, pads, lines and surrounding components are protected before coating application.

04

Paint Application

Color is applied using a high-temperature automotive finishing system for consistent coverage.

05

Finish & Cure

The coating is allowed to properly cure before the vehicle is prepared for final assembly.

06

Reassembly & Inspection

Wheels are reinstalled and the completed caliper finish is reviewed before delivery.

Our Approach For a cosmetic caliper refinishing service, complete removal from the hydraulic brake system is generally not required. We focus on careful preparation and precision masking while keeping the factory braking system intact whenever practical.

CUSTOM LETTERING
+$125.

Lettering is one of the easiest ways to make a painted caliper feel factory-designed instead of simply repainted. Keep it subtle with clean contrasting text, or coordinate the lettering with the body, wheel or interior accents.

  • Custom lettering add-on: +$125
  • Placement depends on caliper shape and available surface
  • Simple text and performance-inspired layouts available
  • Complex custom logos or artwork can be quoted separately
