Restore More Than Appearance

Cloudy Headlights Don’t Belong On A Clean Vehicle.

UV exposure, heat, weathering and years of washing can degrade the outer surface of a polycarbonate headlight lens. The result can be yellowing, haze, surface oxidation and a dull finish that affects both the look of the vehicle and the amount of light that passes through the lens.

A proper restoration is more than a quick polish. The damaged surface needs to be corrected, refined and protected so the lens looks cleaner and stays that way longer.

01

Cleaner Appearance

Refresh an aged front end and bring back a clearer, more uniform lens finish.

02

Improved Clarity

Remove surface oxidation and haze that can reduce visible light passing through the lens.

03

Better Value

Restoration can be a practical alternative to replacing expensive headlight assemblies when the lenses are still serviceable.

04

Protection After Restoration

Add headlight PPF or compatible protection to help preserve the restored surface.

Is It Time?

Common Signs Your Headlights Need Restoration

If the lenses are intact but the surface looks worn, restoration may be the right first step.

Yellowing

The lens has developed a warm, yellow or amber cast compared with new clear plastic.

Cloudy Haze

The lens looks milky or foggy even when the inside of the housing is dry.

Surface Oxidation

The outer surface has become chalky, dull or rough from long-term UV exposure.

Reduced Night Clarity

The beam appears dimmer or less crisp because the lens is no longer optically clear.

The IW Process

Restoration Is A Process—Not A Shortcut.

The difference between a lens that looks better for a few weeks and one that is properly refinished comes down to surface preparation, refinement and protection.

02

Protect Surrounding Areas

Painted surfaces, trim and adjacent components are protected before correction begins.

03

Correct The Damaged Surface

Oxidized material is carefully removed in stages to level and refine the outer lens surface.

04

Refine For Clarity

The lens is progressively refined and polished to restore a cleaner, clearer optical finish.

05

Protect The Result

We can add a compatible protective option to help reduce future UV and environmental degradation.

Restore Or Replace?

Don’t Replace A Good Headlight Just Because The Lens Looks Old.

Modern LED, adaptive and premium headlight assemblies can be expensive. When the housing, electronics and lens structure are still in good condition, restoration can improve the appearance without replacing the complete assembly.

RESTORATION MAY MAKE SENSE WHEN:The damage is primarily surface oxidation, yellowing or haze.
REPLACEMENT MAY BE BETTER WHEN:The lens is cracked, deeply crazed, internally damaged or the housing has moisture/electrical issues.

Protect The Restoration

Don’t Restore It Just To Let It Oxidize Again.

Ask about adding a protection layer after restoration to help preserve clarity and make maintenance easier.

PPF

Headlight Paint Protection Film

Clear PPF can add a physical barrier against road debris, light abrasion and environmental exposure.

Ceramic Protection

A compatible ceramic protection layer can improve slickness, cleaning and water behavior on restored lenses.

Complete Front-End Refresh

Combine headlight restoration with paint correction, trim refinement or PPF for a more complete front-end transformation.

Headlight Restoration In La Verne

Questions Customers Actually Ask.

IW Motorsports provides professional headlight restoration and vehicle appearance services from our La Verne studio, serving San Dimas, Glendora, Claremont, Pomona, Upland, Rancho Cucamonga and surrounding Southern California communities.

Can every cloudy headlight be restored?

No. Surface oxidation and yellowing are often good candidates, but deep cracking, internal haze, water intrusion, structural damage or failing electronics may require repair or replacement instead.

How long does headlight restoration last?

Longevity depends on lens condition, sun exposure, maintenance and the protection applied afterward. Adding a durable protective layer can help extend the restored appearance.

Will restoration improve nighttime visibility?

If oxidation and haze are reducing lens clarity, correcting that damaged surface can improve the amount and quality of light passing through the lens. It will not fix weak bulbs, failing LEDs or electrical issues.

Is this the same as polishing the headlights?

No. A quick polish may temporarily improve gloss, but a more complete restoration addresses the damaged outer surface in stages before final refinement and protection.

Should I add PPF after restoration?

Headlight PPF can be a strong option when you want physical protection against road wear and an additional barrier over the restored lens.

Can you restore headlights on luxury or LED-equipped vehicles?

Yes, provided the issue is in the exterior lens surface and the assembly is otherwise serviceable. We inspect the condition before recommending restoration.
